As part of the "Cloud Network Services" portfolio, Swissom will offer a range of network services such as Managed Reverse Proxy, Managed Forward Proxy, Global Load Balancer, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, etc.).
Managed Reverse Proxy
The Managed Reverse Proxy is a customer-specific instantiation, which is operated by Swisscom. The provision, modification and decommissioning is automated end-to-end. Each Managed Reverse Proxy is set up on a Swisscom public IP address. This means that the automated provision of BGP routing is always possible.
Internet Access & DDoS Protection (option)
The customer can use the "Internet Access" option to make the IP address of the reverse proxy accessible from the Internet. Swisscom's Internet access is used without the customer needing their own Internet access. Both IPv4/IPV6 or dual stack are available. The bandwidth of the Internet access can be seen in the Performance Classes chapter below. Internet access is only overbooked 1:3. Internet access is also provided with a DDoS protection service up to Layer 4.
Swisscom Provider Managed Certificate (option)
The Managed Reverse Proxy must always be equipped with a public certificate. The public certificate can be obtained from Swisscom as an option. For this, the domain must be registered with the certification authority SwissSign. The certificate is automatically created, activated and renewed by Swisscom before it expires. The customer can also provide their own certificate without this option.

The Manage Reverse Proxy service is available in different performance classes:

Throughput: The "Throughput" defines the throughput that is transported through the reverse proxy. It consists of upload throughput plus download throughput.
Concurrent Connections: These are the connections on an instance that are active at the same time.
Connection-Rate: The connection rate (cps = connection per second) defines the maximum possible sessions that can be set up in one second. The duration of the sessions is irrelevant.
SSL transactions: SSL transactions are secure data transmissions between server and client over the Internet. They use the SSL encryption protocol to secure data transmission. The data is divided into small blocks, encrypted and transmitted securely. The effectiveness of SSL transactions is often measured using TPS (transactions per second), which indicates the amount of encrypted data a server can process in one second.
Service Level
The "Managed Reverse Proxy S non Prod" is built on a dedicated HW platform, which guarantees lower availability. However, this platform is always the first to be updated (patching, release, etc.), so that customers can test their applications after changes at an early stage before the changes are activated in the other platforms (with production character).

The Managed Revere Proxy service and its options are billed by hours.

Customers can see the performance report in the Enterprise Service Cloud portal (MyItems, Managed Revrse Proxy, MyInstance, Reports).
