Health Exposure Service

This is an information message

Beta

This service will be available from the April 5th 2024.

This service is still in being built and tested. Hence, not all cloud service might be onboarded on this service. Also, you might need some addional connectivity. Please contact us for questions or support.

With the Health Exposure Service, you get a stream (topic) of health status events from the Enterprise Service Cloud (ESC) service instances.

For example, by using Health Exposure you can have access to the current health state of your VMs. Health events should be published both on status change, but also with a service-defined interval frequency. This makes sure that consumers' reporting/inventories are converging after one such interval. Please consult also the individual service documentation as this might differ from service to service.

Features

The service has the following main features:

  • Tenant-specific service instance health status is published on a customer Kafka topic
  • Events are published on status change and at regular intervals (individual service instances )
  • mTLS authentication
  • Administration rights granted via a vRA custom role
  • Self-service via the ESC Portal
  • Access management API
  • 24-hour retention for events in the topic
  • Access to the topic from inside the tenant workload
