Object Storage S3 is an object-based cloud storage which can be interacted with through a standardized S3 compatible API.

Features

The service has the following main features:

• Support for the Amazon S3 API which allows you to use any S3 compatible client or CLI.
• All user data is distributed and stored by default on four different Swisscom datacenter locations.
• By default, your S3 service is only accessible via private network. Optionally, you can activate the access via Internet as well.
• Swisscom does not store your user credentials - your data is in your hands.
• The audit-proof Archive Safe option makes sure that your data cannot be changed or deleted during a defined period of time.

The service can be ordered as Object Storage S3 via the service catalog in the ESC Portal.
