Manage S3 User

An S3 user has the following configuration options:

Display NameFriendly name of the S3 user.
PermissionDefines whether the user should have read/write or read-only permissions.

Create S3 User

To create an S3 user for an existing S3 instance, navigate to the desired S3 instance in the Swisscom Portal.

  1. Selected the desired instance and click on Actions.

  2. Click on Add S3 User.

  3. Fill in the configuration options as described above.

  4. Click on Request

  5. As soon as the S3 user is created successfully, it will be shown as a child element under your S3 instance.

Delete S3 User

To delete an S3 user, navigate to the desired item.

  1. Selected the desired instance and click on Actions.

  2. Click on Delete S3 User.

  3. Select Confirm checkbox if you are sure, that you want to delete this user.

  4. Click on Submit

Get S3 Credentials

Be aware that the credentials are displayed and stored only within the first 24 hours after creation of the user. To get credentials for an S3 user, navigate to the desired S3 user in the Swisscom Portal.

  1. Selected the desired user and click on Actions.

  2. Click on Get S3 Credentials.

  3. Click on Close.

Be aware that the Submit button is disabled for this action.
